Strength testing - To determine the best mixture for our canoe we created small samples of different mixtures and tested them by finding out just how much stress they could handle. |

Reinforcement testing - As reinforcement for our canoe, we used a steel mesh. We cut this steel mesh to shape of the canoe and lay it over the mold. Small segments of the mesh were used as spacers. |
